Incredibly, no serious biography or documentary of Michael Jackson's adult life has yet been written.

Attempts to date have been fringe pieces, either lurid affairs designed only to sell, based largely on tabloids, contradicting one another
on the most basic facts. Or fluff fan pieces. The occasional scholarly article nearly always misses by trying to shoehorn MJ into some cultural trend they want credit for recognizing.

Without the facts made accessible, we've been left to select our favorite faith-based MJ myth.

MJ was hounded literally to death by a media whose profitable narrative was built on stripping him of his humanity.

He gave us the soundtrack to our lives.

He brought cultures and generations around the world together -
a billion people watched his memorial.

So do we not owe the man a more serious look?


Goals

* to provide a free, fact-based, well-sourced biographical resource with thoughtful analysis of Michael Jackson, the man.

* to educate the public and media about MJ's final campaign to get individuals involved in protecting our planet, in particular global warming.

* to dispel misconceptions preventing people from fully enjoying his songs, his singing, and his dancing.


Why?

Because the artistry and the message can never be fully separated from the man.

Because it's time to make clear
he was a man, not a boy.

--A man, not a freak.

--A man, flawed,
neither saint nor angel.

--But a good man. A good father.

--A man whose influence on music and culture is and will remain legendary.

--A man who happens to be
one of history's most
fascinating characters.

Because the planet needs your help.

And because friends don't let friends miss out on the joy of dancing your ass off, or crying your eyes out,
to a Michael Jackson song.

I know that there are some MJ photo sites. Do you know anything 'bout the 2 like mjphotocolletors & mjjpictures on why there's like an hitaus with them? I usually like going to them & find some pictures that I have never seen before & I was logged in & signed up with miphotocollectors?! I find some MJ fans are still are able to go into these 2 sites even though there's an hitaus-why so?

It's frustrating, is it not, finding MJ's biography in the hands largely of :

--celebrity gossip writers looking for the latest hook to sell a book or story.
--journalists who staked their reputation on calling him guilty or washed up, and since proved wrong,are rechanneling their vendettas.
--fans who gush about MJ the angel.

So it seems time to take matters in hand. This site is a kind of wiki biography of Michael Jackson. Not for the zillionth repeating of basic facts, but for the analysis. To tie it together. To get the clearest picture possible of the man himself. After giving the entire world forty years of song and dance, does he not deserve the effort?

Musical or performance analysis may follow, but a personal analysis seemed more pressing..

The goal is to have every statement supported with one or more references. This is a work in progress, and not all are yet in place.

Articles, references, observations, and corrections,are welcome. Additional writers will be added over time. Haters will be blocked and reported so quickly it's not worth your time.
